  Jim Buxton is a slum lord. He has rented rooms in his "student housing" to people just out of prison so that students have to share kitchens and bathrooms with people who have been in jail for attacking the cops. The house at 942 Iowa ave has the worst case of bats (especially in the attic, but the make appearances in the rest of the house, too.) The City of Iowa City will not do anything about this health hazard because the inspector is "afraid of Jim." I Don't blame him, Jim is aggressive and often irrational and very short tempered. Abuse of entry is his middle name and I had a watch and other items stolen from my locked room. At least three people who live in Jim's houses have reported him entering their places while they were gone and without notice or permission. He will climb through a window and tear up his own screen to get into your place. All in all, a nightmare of a slumlord. He has been sued, check out Iowa Courts Online.
